„BARBERING. A COMPLETE GUIDE TO MEN’S HAIRCUTS”- review by Sławek Kłosiński

Adam Szulc is an icon of Polish barbering, a professionally active practitioner, teacher, lecturer, writer and presenter of many hairdressing shows and competitions, a collector of hairdressing memorabilia, a traveler and... drummer.

After the release of the barber trilogy in his native language and their huge popularity, the time has come to publish the first part in English, so that access to a wide compendium of men's hairdressing needed by a professional is also possible in the wide world. The author devotes a lot of attention to the history of men's hairdressing, proper hair and facial hair care, tools used in the work of a modern barber and even the décor of a barber shop. In a simple and understandable way, he explains to us what should not be done, draws our attention to special and significant things in the profession of a male hairdresser. The book should be an academic book for adepts of men's hairdressing. However, by mistake, considering this book as an academic book, we can assume that it is a boring collection of information, nothing more wrong, the book is well written, draws with each subsequent page into the history and world of barbering.
