Several years ago, Edwin, a legendary Texas hair pomade manufacturer known as Pomps Not Dead, created a hair pomade inspired by the fantastic album "The Shape of Punk to Come" by the Swedish band Refused. Edwin is associated with the Houston punk scene, has played bass for the band Liberty & Justice, and works as a barber at the local East End Barber Shop.
The initial product sold out quickly, so fast, in fact, that even the members of Refused didn't manage to get their hands on it, let alone use it in their hair.
After Adam Szulc spoke with Dennis Lyxzén, the band's vocalist, he convinced Edwin to produce an additional 20 units of the pomade for two special reasons. The first is the airing of the series "Barberska Dekada" (Barbershop's Decade), in which Dennis appears. The second reason is the final shows of the band Refused.
The new formula of "The Shape of Pomp to Come by Refused" pomade is waxy and lightweight, providing hold and shine for your hairstyle. It has a pleasant vanilla scent and is perfect for smooth or slightly raised traditional hairstyles such as side parts, slick backs, pompadours, or quiffs. It can also be used as a shine enhancer for dry hair.
